Tímatal is a booking system provided on a subscription basis. Users pay a monthly fee in accordance with the price list, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Users pay an additional fee for each text message sent through the Services of Tímatal and other partner services. The cost of that service is based on the price list or other written agreement between the parties. In addition, Tímatal offers other service items, such as an online booking portal and custom reminders, which Customers/Users pay for in accordance with the price list.
Users do not pay a monthly fee for the first 14 days of using the system, unless otherwise agreed in writing. This is referred to as a trial period, after which the monthly subscription begins. The monthly fee is always charged in advance.
Customers can choose between credit card sales and account sales.
Credit Card Sales
The Customer connects a valid credit card to his/her account. Tímatal uses Borgun hf.’s credit card services to check if the card is valid and subsequently charges the Customer's card.
At the end of each month, after the trial period has passed, the total amount for the next month's subscription and for the previous month's text messages charge will be charged to the card in question.
If the card cannot be charged, we will try charging the card every four days until the debt is paid. If a debt is still not paid after three attempts, we reserve the right to block the access of the Customer and all of his Users to the system. Before taking such actions, every effort will be made to contact the Customer in question.
Customers can also choose account sales. The Customer then simply registers the ID number and information regarding the legal entity that intends to pay for Tímatal's Services.
At the end of each month, after the trial period has passed, a claim is issued to the Customer via online banking. The due date is the 1st of each month and the final due date is the 20th of each month. The invoice for the claim is sent to the Customer's e-mail address or another e-mail address provided by the Customer.
If the claim is not paid 14 days after the final due date, we reserve the right to block the access of the Customer and all the Users he pays for to the system, until payment is received.
You can unsubscribe from Tímatal at any time by visiting timatal.is/settings. Previous payments, including the first payment upon confirmation of subscription, will not be refunded.
The fee charged by Tímatal for its Services is in accordance with the applicable price list at any given time. We guarantee that the correct price list is accessible on our website. Tímatal’s price list always applies, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Further information on how Tímatal’s charges its fees can be found above in section 7, concerning Tímatal's Services.
With the consent of Customers and Users, Tímatal will provide information, via e-mail or announcement on the User’s account, regarding any new features that may be added to the ystem.
Tímatal will, as far as possible, ensure that important announcements are received as soon as possible, but does in no way guarantee that they will be received by the person in question or that they will always contain the latest and / or correct information.
The Customer agrees that Tímatal is not liable for announcements received late, or not at all, for errors in their content or any actions that the User, or a third party, makes or does not make based on the announcements.
In no event shall Tímatal be liable for direct or indirect damages that may result from a malfunction in the company's or User's computer equipment and/or software, or from any other causes, that may lead to information being incorrect or to the Services being inaccessible by the Customer or/and User.

Tímatal accepts no liability for any damage or inconvenience that may occur, either directly or indirectly, due to the lack of knowledge, misunderstanding or misuse of the access by Users or third parties. Tímatal is likewise not liable for legal costs due to legal actions, neither contractual nor non-contractual, even though Tímatal may have been aware that a compensation claim existed.
Tímatal has the authority to take all possible action which can be deemed necessary due to any infringement of these Terms. Tímatal can therefore unilaterally block a User's access completely.
